Definitions

AC grid

Alternating Current grid, e.g. national grid or mini-grids.

DC grid

Direct Current grid as covered by this standard.

microgrid

A collection of interconnected devices capable of sourcing power, consuming power, or both, capable of operating in isolation from a national AC grid and operating under a single administrative control.

Acronyms and Abbreviations

SHS

Solar Home System, usually consisting of a solar panel, a battery and a charge controller.
